Best-selling young adult author and comedian David Walliams has been dropped by his longtime publishing house, as confirmed by the firm.
A spokesman for the company commented: "After careful consideration, and with the guidance of its recently appointed chief executive, HarperCollins UK will not be releasing future works by David Walliams."
It has been reported that the conclusion was taken subsequent to an review of claims about conduct deemed unsuitable involving female individuals.
The publisher declined to specify the specific rationale behind the move, stating: "We do not comment on private personnel issues."
An Illustrious Writing Journey
Walliams stands as a most prolific writers for young readers, boasting over in excess of 60 million copies worldwide in five dozen languages.
His first children's book, *The Boy in the Dress*, was published by HarperCollins back in 2008.
Some of his books, such as *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have found new life as television films.
