FC Barcelona Ready for First Match at Partially Completed Camp Nou over the weekend

The club confirmed their first game will take place at the partially upgraded Camp Nou this Saturday. The club will host the Bilbao team in La Liga over two years following their departure for construction to commence.

“We’ve dreamed about the return. Now, it’s here. We’re back home. Back at Spotify Camp Nou.”

Attendance will be limited though over 45,000 attendees are permitted inside based on approved permits. After final construction, it will accommodate over 104,000 attendees, up from the previous 99,000. Barça announced finished work included a new players’ tunnel and new dressing rooms.

Stadium Testing

Barça organized an open training session inside the stadium on 7 November. The club said they were hoping for permission from European football’s governing body to host the next European match facing Eintracht next month at Camp Nou. Previous fixtures took place at the Olympic Stadium.
